The Library of the National Museum of Contemporary Art - Museum do
Chiado, brings together a bibliographic collection of particular
importance such as the catalogs of major national exhibitions from the
end of the nineteenth century to our days, the documentation about the
awards and the catalogs of the exhibitions sponsored by SPN / SNI,
catalogs of the Biennials of Venice and São Paulo, and the periodics of
reference, as the Occidente, Brotéria, Panorama and Colóquio Artes.
In its catalog can also be found works of the main authors of national art historiography from the twentieth century, as Virgílio Correia, Joaquim Vasconcelos, Fernando Pamplona, Diogo de Macedo, Adriano de Gusmão, José Augusto França, among others.
